DR. JESLEEN AHLUWALIA, MD FAAD

Dr. Jesleen Ahluwalia and the staff at Oasis Dermatology prides themselves on providing individualized, superior dermatology services using only state-of-the-art technologies. However, what truly distinguishes Oasis Dermatology as a leader in the skin health industry, is our passion for helping people and an unwavering commitment to our patients throughout the entire treatment process.

Dr. Ahluwalia graduated at the top of her medical school class and served as chief resident during her final year of residency. She has special interests in acne, skin cancer prevention, dermatological procedures, complex medical dermatology and public health having traveled extensively overseas in developing areas administering dermatologic care. She has published numerous articles in dermatologic journals and the press, and lectured at multiple national and regional meetings.

Prior to starting Oasis Dermatology, Dr. Ahluwalia served the New York City area in private practice for six years. Family and warmer weather has brought her to Winter Park. She enjoys travel, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Dermatologist

DR. BRIAN THOMAS, MD FAAD

Dr. Thomas is a Board Certified Dermatologist and an Orlando native. He attended Lake Highland Prep and Rollins College. Dr. Thomas graduated from the Honors Program at Rollins with a degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. He then attended the Florida State University College of Medicine, where he graduated in the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society.

Dr. Thomas completed his dermatology training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Thomas returned to Central Florida to provide the highest quality of care to the community where he was raised.

Aside from his practice at Oasis, Dr. Thomas also works in the dermatology clinic at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital. When not at work, Dr. Thomas enjoys reading, video games, and spending time with his family.

Dermatologist

DR. Pooja Gurnani, MD, FAAD

Dr. Pooja Gurnani is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. Whether treating skin cancer, rashes, managing chronic skin conditions, or helping patients achieve their aesthetic goals, Dr. Gurnani is committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Gurnani earned her medical degree from the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, during which she completed a dermatology research fellowship at the University of Miami Department of Dermatology. She then completed her dermatology residency at the University of Florida, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year of training. She was also inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society during her dermatology residency. Prior to joining Oasis Dermatology, Dr. Gurnani served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, where she enjoyed caring for patients while mentoring the next generation of dermatologists. Outside of the office, Dr. Gurnani enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and returning to her hometown of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Physician Assistant - Certified

NAMITA HUNJEN,PA-C

Namita Hunjen is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in dermatology. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Science at University of Central Florida and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University.

Namita is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also an SDPA diplomate fellow which is awarded after acquiring advanced knowledge and training in dermatological conditions. Aside from being a dermatology physician assistant, Namita enjoys traveling to new countries and exploring new restaurants.

Family Nurse Practitioner

Emily Sierra, APRN, FNP-C

Emily Sierra is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. A Winter Park native, Emily attended Bishop Moore Catholic High School before earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida. She then earned her Master of Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Emily’s passion for dermatology began at Oasis Dermatology, where she worked as a medical assistant while completing her undergraduate education. After earning her advanced nursing degree and gaining additional clinical experience within the Emory Healthcare system, she returned to Oasis Dermatology as a nurse practitioner.

Emily enjoys caring for both adults and children and has a special interest in acne, rosacea, skin cancer prevention and detection, and hair loss. She is also actively involved in clinical research, helping expand access to innovative dermatologic therapies.

Outside of the office, Emily enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Skinner.

Electrologist/Aesthetician

JASMINE CEPERO, CME

Jasmine is a licensed medical aesthetician, board certified electrologist, and laser technician. Jasmine has over 10 years experience within the aesthetic arena. She was trained and licensed at Florida College of Natural Health. Additionally, she received training at Hollywood institute of beauty careers in Casselberry Fl. where she obtained her electrologist/laser technician diploma.

Jasmine’s aesthetic career has flourished over the last decade working in concert with and under the tutelage of respected dermatologists Dr. Erica Mailler and currently Dr. Jesleen Ahluwalia at Oasis Dermatology. Jasmine’s mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit one person at a time utilizing aesthetic techniques to optimize skin health in conjunction with boosting self-esteem and confidence. Beauty is more than skin deep but the epidermis is a good place to start. Jasmine’s strengths can be seen in her detail oriented treatment sessions and soothing bedside manner.

In addition to all things aesthetically pleasing Jasmine enjoys travel and fashion. She is passionate about fitness and healthy living. A delightful energy and positive addition to this practice. Current training and certifications as follows:

Aesthetician

Erin Thompson

Erin has been a Licensed Aesthetician since 2017. She received her education from the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Nashville and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.

While living in Nashville, she worked at a Dermatology practice for over 5 years as a Medical Aesthetician, Certified Dermatology Tech, and Spa Director. Erin has also worked in plastic surgery and a hair salon/spa; these different environments have allowed her to become proficient in a variety of skills and treatments. She is passionate about combining in-office treatments with medical grade skincare; some of her favorite treatments to do are Microneedling, Chemical Peels, Dermaplaning, and Lash Extensions.

She believes that a patient’s skin journey is deeply personal and prioritizes education while building trusting, lasting relationships. Erin splits her time between her hometown of Orlando and Nashville, where she also works as a Medical Aesthetician.
